In one way or another BlogEasy has been in the works for almost two years. When I got serious about it three months ago I told the programmers I wanted a program that had the following features:
- Store and catalog original pre-written articles that subscribers could post to their own blogs.
- Include “spin” capabilities so the same article could be generated in many different versions.
- Include “Location” variables so local place names could be inserted to personalize articles for local businesses (especially real estate agents).
- Include the capability of posting these articles directly to client blogs – right from within BlogEasy.
I was assuming subscribers would go into BlogEasy, choose an article, generate a unique version, copy it, and then go to their blog and paste it into place.
Well we fairly quickly got all of that working beautifully. But when I saw how convenient it was to be able to post these articles directly to any old Wordpress blog you wanted (as long as you have author privileges), we decided to take it a bit further.
We added the capability for individual subscribers to register their own blogs with the system, create their own articles, and post directly to their own blogs.
What that means is that subscribers can use BlogEasy as their central blogging control panel. They can register as many as 5 Wordpress blogs, and send blog posts to any of those 5 blogs.
They can create their own articles, add localization and spinning, and then send a different version to each of their blogs.
Or they can select one of the pre-written BlogEasy articles, localize it by entering their specific location names (such as “Toledo” or “Orange County”, and then send it to any of their registered blogs.
This may sound fairly straightforward, but this is really fairly complicated stuff, and so far it works like a charm.
